    Solid Insulation

This course describes the role of solid insulation in a high voltage electrical system and the ways it can fail.
A course focused on understanding the properties of solid insulation and how it can be selected in practical systems. Attendees will explore the critical role of solid insulation in HV systems and their applications in HV environments.

The key properties of an insulation material and how they can be affected by changing permittivity, conductivity and frequency in AC and DC systems will be described. Also, how to evaluate and select appropriate insulation materials for various HV applications.
The course contains a mix of presentations, quizzes and interactive exercises that allow you to test your knowledge.
