Richard has been actively developing advanced test capabilities with a focus on understanding the ageing mechanisms affecting electrical insulation systems in more electric aircraft (MEA) and designing, building and commissioning the state-of-the-art of high voltage laboratories.
His key areas of interest and specialisation include: Ageing mechanisms in electrical insulation on advancing the understanding of how electrical insulation systems degrade under operational conditions, particularly in MEA applications. He specialises in optimizing and automating both new and existing test rigs to improve testing efficiency, accuracy, and reliability.
Richard’s combination of technical expertise and innovative problem-solving ensures cutting-edge solutions for the challenges faced in high-voltage testing and insulation system performance.
