Juliana has academic and professional foundation in the field of high-voltage (HV) systems, with a particular focus on the behaviour and performance of insulation materials under various electrical stresses.
Her key areas of expertise include advanced research during her PhD on the generation of electrical trees at two different interfaces in polymeric materials from a void cavity, providing insights into insulation degradation mechanisms in HV systems.
Expertise in detecting and analysing partial discharges to evaluate the condition and reliability of insulation systems in HV applications, as well as assessing the dielectric strength of insulation systems through breakdown voltage testing (BDV) to ensure compliance with industry standards.
